LaCrosse Lumber Company was founded in 1873, on the banks of the Mississippi River at Louisiana, Missouri. During this era, Northern White Pine was floated down the river on rafts and manufactured into lumber on the river banks. Currently, LaCrosse is one of the oldest corporations in the state of Missouri.

As of this writing, LaCrosse operates 16 full service retail locations in Missouri and Illinois
